Ice cream in Ao Nang: the afternoon cool-down

By mid-afternoon in Ao Nang the only sensible plan is shade and something cold. Our garden delivers both: 10 ice-cream flavours at 89฿ a scoop, eaten beside the long stone water table where a fish pond keeps the kids occupied longer than any screen.

We're open every day 8:00–18:00 inside Ao Nang Landmark (Sealay Village), about 10 minutes by car from central Ao Nang Beach and a 5-minute walk from Nopparat Thara — walk in any time, parking on site. Small guests get 10 flavours to argue over plus the fish pond; grown-ups get the affogato and the rest of the espresso list on our coffee page, with everything else on the full menu.

The board runs from safe to only-in-Thailand: Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry and Cookie & Cream hold down the classics; Mocha Almond Fudge and Rum Raisin are the grown-up picks; and then there's the local wing — Thai Tea (yes, that orange), Coconut Milk, Mango Sorbet and a sharp Lime Sherbet that might be the single most refreshing thing we serve at three in the afternoon. Everything is scooped to order, in a cup or a cone.

The maths favours company: one scoop is 89฿, two scoops are 159฿ — so the second scoop effectively costs 70฿, which is how most tables end up pairing Thai Tea with Coconut Milk and calling it a cultural experience. Worth knowing for parents: the lime and mango options mean even the "nothing creamy, please" kid leaves happy.
